In the middle of my brisk walk this morning… I got hit with some rain. So I picked up the pace and ran home the rest of the way.

I made my Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Cucumbers and then headed off to the shower. Again this morning I had some appointments in Daytona to attend to in the morning. Then my afternoon was open to work from home.

For Lunch I remembered that Wendy’s had a nice Garden Salad, so on my way home, I stopped in and got at Garden Salad. I took it home and proceeded to eat the salad on a pile of papers in my office and grabbed an Apple to enjoy as well.

Then I hit the Walmart, to do a more extensive shopping adventure.

Green Bean Delight:

Ingredients:

1/2lb of Green Beans

1Tsp Olive Oil

Dried Onion Flakes

Paprika

Celctic Salt

Directions: Clean and Cut ends of Green Beans. Pour them into boiling water and blanch for about 2-4 minutes.  Remove from heat, strain and add olive oil and seasonings

Spinach Salad:

Ingredients:

Handful of Spinach Leaves

2Raddish

2Green Onions

Dried Organic Cranberries

Seedless Sunflower Seeds

Directions: Wash spinach leaves, slice raddish, and green onions and mix into bowl with cranberries and sunflower seeds. Add dressing of your choice. I picked something out of the refrigerator.. a Wish Bone Italian Dressing.

Hummas Veggie Sandwich:

Ingredients:

Hummas

Whole Wheat Bread, 2 slices

1 Yellow Bell Pepper, Seeded and Sliced

1 Cucumber, Sliced

Directions: Sliced Whole Wheat Bread, apply Hummus to the bread and layer with sliced vegetables.

And it was time to watch the season finale of Dancing With The Stars… Nicole’s sure to win it!!!

No Pilates Class this morning… instead,after my 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water,  I headed off to Church at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C..

Afterwards, I met up with a girlfriend of mine from Daytona Beach, Florida  for coffee. We met a the Dean and Doluca Shop in Georgetown off M Street. It was only a mile or 2 from the Cathedral, but it took me forever to get there. I ended up parking at Q Street because I wasn’t sure I’d get a good parking spot on M Street. Then I had to walk the 5 or so blocks in heals on cobble stone sidewalks. Best of all thought, I didn’t have a coffee or even a tea.

Instead, I had my Mid Afternoon 8oz Juice  At Robeks Fruit Smoothie place, where they also juice vegetables like Carrots, Celery, Spinach and Apple.

30 Minutes before Lunch 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

I noticed I was getting lower and lower on my Barley Max Supply, and was thinking I will never make it until my new shipment comes Tuesday.

We started packing for our journey back down to Florida, and I ate another Veggie Sandwich and some Hummus and Pita Chips.

Veggie Sandwich:

Ingredients:

Whole Wheat Bread

Hummus

1 Cucumber 

1 Orange Bell Pepper

Directions: Slice Bread, Wash and Slice Vegetables and layer on bread with Hummus spread.

Mid Afternoon 8oz Juice of Carrots, Celery, Spinach, Apples left over from my Robecks stop earlier in the day.

30 Minutes before Dinner 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

Dinner was a hodge podge of leftovers, Pita Chips and Hummus.

Afterwards, we felt a little adventurous, so we piled in the car and walked along the Potomac River for some exercise. It was a great day for it too. The sun was out and everyone was enjoying the day as well.

After my pilates class Saturday morning… we decided to go on a road trip to Northern Maryland and the West Virginia boarder to The Bovarian Inn.

Before we left, I drank my 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz Distilled Water  for breakfast… and noticed the container was getting very low. I had placed a new order on Friday, but I don’t think I’ll be able to wait until Tuesday when I get a new shipment. 😦

I made an 8oz Juice of Carrot, Spinach, Celery for my Mid Morning Juice that I’d be drinking on the road.

30 Minutes Before Lunch 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz Distilled Water.

Lunch was Apples until I was Satisfied… Lunch took place on the road while we were driving to West Virginia.

We finally got to the Bovarian Inn along the Potomac River boarder of West Virginia and Maryland. It’s a beautiful place to go just for the scenery alone and then the food, well it’s a Bovarian Eastern European Fare. The dining room had an old-dated european influence, but the view out of their big picture windows make up for the decor inside. 

I wanted to obstain from eating another lunch, but I had a hard time. Afterall, I was still a little hungry and my stomach was feeling empty. So I ordered a Vegetable Sandwich with Fried, Zucchini and Carrots. It was a nice lite  addition to my earlier lunch in the car.

Then we walked around and enjoyed the scenery of the mountains, the river below and each other. We took out sight seeing down into the middle of town where all the shops and people were bustling, but then it started to rain. We made it into the car before it started pouring down hard… and continued on back home.

We got up at 5am to get ready and out the door by 7:15am this morning, because I was going on the school field trip to Gettysburg Pennsylvania with 450 middle school kids from Potomac, Maryland.

This was a class field trip for Mikes son, so needless to say, I missed my pilates. But not to worry, I was going to be walking and hiking parts of the battle field, so I wasn’t worried.

So I packed a bag of my Fresh 8oz Juice of Carrot, Spinach, Celery for my Mid Morning Juice. Which I got to during a trip through the museum, where the kids had to fill out there packet of questions for a grade. FUN!!!!

Then we all got back on the tour bus for lunch…

30 Minutes before Lunch, I prepared a 1tsp of Barley Max Powder in a plastic bag and dropped it into my water bottle. Made a bit of a mess with it though, and not sure if I got the entire tsp. in there. 😦

Lunch was a couple of apples and some trail mix I mixed together with a hand full of Organic Cranberries, Organic Raisins and a Flaxseed Mix.

Then we stayed on the bus and went for our actual battlefield tour of Gettysburg. That’s were we drove into the town of Gettysburg and into the many battlefield  grounds. This was exciting, because we got out and toured some of the grounds and got the 411 on how these 3 days in July played out!

At 3pm, I was ready to go home and luckily that’s when our field trip ended and we started our 11/2 hour bus ride back home. When we got to the school, we had to wait for Mike to pick us up and he ended up getting lost, because it was the high school down the street from our morning drop off at the middle school.  So we started walking to the middle school when we saw Mike coming to pick us up.

When we got home, I made my Mid Afternoon 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Spinach.

30minutes before we went to dinner 1tsp of Barley Max Powder with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

Dinner was at Wildfire Restaurant where I had the Greek Salad with a Vinaigrette Dressing and some Roasted Vegetables.  I did also manage to stay away from the White Wine with dinner!!!

I woke up this morning and headed out to my Pilates Class for a 30 minute work out! And boy was it ever a workout.  Who knew a 30 minute jump board class would be so intense.

And as I was doing the class, I thought to myself that I should get back on the eating plan. Because if you look at the calendar, my birthday is exactly 14 days away.

This morning, I stepped on the scale and noticed I was at 162lbs. My goal weight though, is 144lbs. So that means I have to lose 16lbs in 14 days to be able to reach my goal.

Breakfast 1tsp Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz Distilled Water

Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Spinach. I did make a fresh juice this morning because Mike bought me some more carrots yesterday.

And drinking this Juice is difficult, because I have those donuts lingering in the kitchen still. And my stomach is rumbling so hard… it seems like it got used to eating all that crap yesterday.!

In an effort to get the donuts out of the house without eating them all, I have decided to hand the donuts out tomorrow morning to a bunch of middle school students. I decided to Chaperone a Field Trip to Gettysburg  with Mikes 14 year old’s school.

Lunch will be either Apples until satisfied or Strawberries until satisfied. (This was my hopes, but I actually had the two leftover pieces of cheese pizza for lunch!)

After a weekend of a lot of eating and entertaining it was time to get back on the Pilates Studio horse and work it all off. But as luck would have it, this Monday morning I got up and made it to the studio in the rain to find a locked door. No one was there… and no one showed up after about 10 minutes of waiting around.

While I was waiting I thought about getting how I planned to get a workout in today and possibly start the 14 Day Hallelujah Acres Eating Plan to lose this remaining 18lbs. before my June birthday. But as it turned out, the day was not going my way.

So, I turned around and headed home to get ready for the day. I made my breakfast of 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.  Then I made my Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Spinach which I drank on the road along with a premixed Barley Max.  I drank that mix 30 minutes before we made it to the Olive Garden for lunch, where I had my usual Italian Salad and Minestrone Soup. I decided to get another bowl of soup to take home and eat for lunch Tuesday.

We made it home just after 4pm and I grabbed the Bolthouse Farms Vedge Juice out the refrigerator for my Mid Afternoon 8oz Juice. I ran out of Carrots, and didn’t make it to the store to buy more… thank goodness I have this juice.

While I was drinking the Tomato Juice I started getting hungry, so I started making a dinner of Green Vegetable Salad and Roasted Vegetables. The vegetables at the house were getting old and wrinkled, so I had to do something with them.

Green Vegetable Salad:

Ingredients:

Handful of Spinach Leaves

1/2Red Onion, Chopped

1Tomato, Diced

1Orange Bell Pepper, Chopped

2Cucumbers, Peeled & Chopped

Directions: Wash, Peel, Dice Vegetables and mix into bowl. Add Salad Dressing Balsamic Vinaigrette from Wish Bone.

Roasted Vegetables

Ingredients:

1Zucchini

1Yellow Squash

4 Red and Yellow Potatoes

1/2Red Onion

2Tbls Olive Oil

Corriander

Paprika

Dried Onion Flakes

Garlic Powder

Directions: Preheat Oven 450 degrees and Wash, Dice potatoes. Mix olive oil and seasonings and place them in a pan and roast. Once potatoes are tender, then add  Chopped vegetables and roast until tender and brown.

For an evening snack while I was watching Dancing with The Stars, I had a bowl of Stacy’s Pita Chips. I think I need to stop eating them, because I’m getting some soars in my mouth from all the salt.!!!!

Three days later, and I’m still in leg pain from Tuesdays Pilates Workout. But that didn’t stop me from going to the Pilates Studio. As eractic as my eating’s been , I need the added workout to keep feeling like I’m staying in shape.

I’ve grown a little bolder with what I am eating, in part because I’m doing my Pilates 4 to 5 days a week. I’ve noticed a lot of muscle definition and losing inches in my waist, thighs and arms. Looking in the mirror I’m noticing my fat pockets getting tighter, more bone definition and sleeker lines. It’s invigorating and also giving me the confident attitude to eat some of those bad foods too. In part because, I’ve gained a ravaging appetite from my dedicated weekly workouts and newly implemented strict eating.!!!!

For example, this afternoon Mike and I went to WholeFoods Grocery Store and  I felt a little entitled to pick up some Vanilla Lemon Whoopie Pie Cakes. First ingredient on the label was SUGAR!!!!

Before I even got so incredibly hungry I managed to keep my appetite in check through my Breakfast of 1Tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz Distilled Water.

Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Spinach

30 Minutes before lunch I managed to pack my 1Tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water and drank it on the road. Because for lunch, Mike got a taste for Persian Food so we went to the local Moby Dick Restaurant for Kabobs. I indulged in a Greek Salad with Grilled Swordfish.

Ingredients:

Iceberg Lettuce

Red Onion

Grilled Yellow Onion

Grilled Tomato

Olives

Later in the day, I missed my traditional 8oz Juice and traded it with a Berry Smoothie from Robeks Fruit Smoothie Shop. I asked for no sugar, powders or yogurt in mine. Unfortunately, the fruits were frozen in a juice so it’s not totally 100% Natural or Raw, more like 80 to 90% Natural or Raw.!

30 Minutes before dinner I mixed 1Tsp of Barley Max Powder with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

Dinner was actually left overs from the night before of the Loaded Cucumber & Tomato Salad.
