If you haven’t noticed already, I’m taking a break from the book on this Hallelujah Acres 14 Day Eating Plan and incorporating my own stuff into it.. and maybe this will make a difference as well.

After an early morning wake up call Thursday, I didn’t have a problem getting up for my 8am Pilates Class. It was a but kicker as well. I need to get in all the classes I can because Monday, we’re driving back down to Florida where they don’t have these reformer pilates classes. The gym I joined there only has the matte pilates classes. 😦

So I took my 1tsp of Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water for Breakfast.

Now, I’m drinking my Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Celery, Carrot, Apple

30 minutes before lunch, 1tsp Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

Lunch will be Apples until I’m satisfied!!!

Plus I did some snacking on Stacy’s Pita Chips with Hummus.

Mid Afternoon 8oz Juice of Carrots, Celery, Spinach

30 Minutes before Dinner, 1tsp Barley Max Powder mixed with 4-8oz of Distilled Water.

We drove to Alexandria for  a farewell meal at Mike’s favorite restaurant, the Chart House. It was a lovely evening, cooling down from the 80 degree temps from the day. Everyone was out with their kids in the park, people were walking dogs, it was just a great night for a slow strole and a nice dinner by the water.  When we got into the restaurant, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table so I indulged in a Bombay Sapphire and Tonic and we ordered an appetizer of Shrimp Cocktail. For the main meal, we were seated outside on the patio while the sun was still up, and by the time I ate my  Chopped Salad, it was dark.

Apples & Bananas

Apples & Bananas

I couldn’t wait to wake up and go to Pilates this Monday morning… since I didn’t go all weekend and I ate Chocolate Dove Bars the night before!



It was a great work out at this morning’s Jump Board Pilates and my legs are definitely feeling the burn, even now.

After the workout, Mike and I got an early start on getting some errands done. We hit up the bank first and then it was off to the post office, where I check the P.O. Box. We drove all the way out to Virginia to drop off the dry cleaning and back tracked it to Tyson’s Mall area so we can get lunch. Mike likes to go to the Olive Garden Restaurant off Leesburg Pike in Tyson’s area.

I got my regular Minestrone Soup and Salad combination. I just love their Minestrone Soup, and today it was even better than the last time. Again, I indulged on two bread sticks during my fairly healthy meal. If only Olive Garden could switch to Whole Wheat Bread Sticks, that would be ideal for me!!!!

Later, I had a sweet tooth so we stopped off at Robeks for a smoothie. I got a Berry Burst Smoothie with an appetite suppressant boost. Yum Yum Yum!

We made it home just in time for Mike’s son to get home from school, and he had a little buddy with him. So I decided to cut up some Apples and Bananas and I made a side dish of Pita Chips and Hummus for the boys to snack on… and we’re still snacking on them. I’m not sure what’s for dinner.

Shoveled Snow at House

Friday night, the Washington D.C. metro area got hit with snow that didn’t stop until Saturday night. That means we got over 26 inches of snow. Before the snow came Friday, we went to go see a movie (Did You Hear About the Morgans?) in dry conditions and by the time the movie let out, it was snowing and traffic was backed up as far as the eye could see.

Luckily, we made it home slow and safe as we watched others on the commute who were so lucky. There were a handful of cars already on the side of the road and others sliding through traffic to make it to there destination.

Since I didn’t get my workout on Friday, Saturday I thought I’d get a workout by shoveling the 12 or so inches that had already fell. By this time everything was closed, so I figured so was the Pilates Gym. The snow didn’t stop until Sunday morning, so I went out again and started shoveling. But this time, I over did it and got hurt from lifting that heavy snow. 😦

So I took it really easy…. laying in bed with a heating pad and taking Advil. Monday, I was feeling much better and so we went to the Leesburg Outlet Mall… Did a bunch of walking and felt good. Today(Tuesday) we went out and got caught in a bunch of traffic while we dropped off drying cleaning, hit Costco, and stopped off at TJMaxx. Needless to say, not feeling too good, so I’m laying here with the heating pad and making my blog entry.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to get back on track with Pilates, or even doing some crunches and weights at home???? It’s a bit frustrating and makes eating a real challenge, because I’m not able to work it off.
