I’m really making a push to get rid of these pesky 26lbs. still on my body.

So Tuesday morning I woke up to hit the gym for my Pilates class, and then I did my weights and strength training later in the day and went for a bike ride with Mike.

During the day I made myself a bowl of My Own Guacamole:

Ingredients:

4Avocado

1/2Onion, Chopped

1/2Cup Salsa

1Lime

Directions: I peeled and chopped up the avocados into a bowl and added some chopped onions and the salsa. I mixed it up and made sure there were no big avocado chunks and added the lime juice.

For dipping, I cracked open a bag of Baked Tostitos Chips and some Natural Veggie Sticks to snack on… these chips are the closest thing to natural chips I can get my hands on.

Wednesday I woke up to a brisk walk around the neighborhood… went for a bike ride in the evening with Mike. Mike made his famous Asha Reshteh for lunch and we’ve been feasting on that ever since.

  Thursday I woke up for another early morning Pilates class and then after a big lunch of Asha Reshteh we went to Carrabba’s for dinner. I had my usual Mediterranean Salad with no Cheese and Oil and Vinegar dressing, some Bruchetta and a couple bites of the Lemonchello Dessert on the menu.

Day it seems I was in a haze for the better part of the day. And this morning I had some errands to run, so it  made for a very trying start to the day. I’m chalking it up to allergies!!

But by the time I finished with my errands, it was lunch time so I head home. Mike warmed up some left overs from yesterdays meal and I had the same thing I ate last night. Cucumber & Tomato Salad and Rice.

Not feeling any better then I did this morning… Mike and I decided to go out again. This time, I wanted to go north to St. Augustine to the outlet mall. Sunday when we were out in Orlando at the Outlets I got a shirt from Armani Exchange and it’s too tight. So I wanted to see it there was an Armani Exchange in St. Augustine, but there’s not.

So it was late… and my stomach was growling!!! So we went to Carrabba’s Restaurant.

It was just before 7pm when we walked in the door… and that means 2for1 happy hour. I had my usual House Pinot Grigio.

I had a Meditteranean Salad with Oil and Vinegar Dressing… Plus I orderd a side of  Roasted Zucchini Vegetables.

Banana Split

Mike and I got an early start Friday… so we stopped at  a local breakfast place so Mike could have a breakfast. I ordered a Strawberry Smoothie and had a Croisant. And Mike ordered this OH SO SWEET Apple Straudel Crepe. I had 3-4 bites of it myself and was just glad I walked hours before.

Amazingly enough… I forgot to eat lunch and so did Mike. So after I scheduled my last meeting for the day, Mike and I headed up to St. Augustine around 4:30pm for dinner. We decided on Carrabba’s Restaurant for an early dinner and drinks.

I had the Mediterranean Salad with no Cheese and Oil and Vinegar Dressing and then I ordered the Penne Franco with no Cheese.

This is a great dish of White Pasta, Roasted Mushrooms, Tomatoes, and some other seasonings. I was feeling generous and shared my pasta with Mike. While we were at the restaurant, it was happy hour, so I indulged in two Carafes’ of White Wine.

The meal was sooo good, I was hungry for more.  But I have to remind myself not to go all day without eating food. My juices can only do so much, and going without a meal makes me hungrier.

And being so hungry, I wanted more food some Ice Cream.

A banana split to be exact.! We drove by an Ice Cream shop and Mike and I both agreed to go home where he was going to make me a banana split.

It sure did taste good going down, but later it was like bombs and grenades going off in my stomach. And it went through the night and into the next morning. ICE CREAM IS NOT MY FRIEND AND I NEED TO REALIZE IT AND STOP EATING IT.  In addition to the Ice Cream I’m eating, I’ve noticed I’ve taken to eating more white bread! Things need to change if I’m going to succeed in meeting my goals.

After last night’s fried fishplate at the clubhouse down the street, this morning I needed to do some work. So I went to a Pilate’s class at the local gym this morning (Wednesday).  I can’t find any Pilates studio with reformer machines here in Palm Coast. Infact, Yesterday I was looking for a Pilate’s studio and went into the gym for a tour of their facilities. I got the schedule for pilates classes and today was the first class I took. It was good, but nothing like Potomac Pilates.

Afterwards, I went running around and met up with a friend for lunch. I did really well and had the Apple, Cranberry Spinach Salad with a vinegarette dressing. I did indulge though in two pieces of cherry bread.

For dinner, we went to Carrabba’s Restaurant in St. Augustine. That’s about 30 miles north of our house in Palm Coast. I didn’t feel like cooking, nor did Mike so that’s what we did. It was happy hour when we got there, so I had the house Pinot Grigio.

Then the waitperson suggested Fried Zucchini Strips so we tried it. And they were sooooo good.  I ordered a Mediterranean Salad with no cheese and Mike and I split the Penne Franco.  Penne Pasta with Mushrooms, Roasted Tomato with Olive Oil and Seasonings. A lot like the Rigatoni Martino that used to be on the menu.

It seems as if I’m on a self-destructive path to destroy what I’ve been doing for the last 5 months. I obsess about foods I know I shouldn’t be eating, like Hershey’s Chocolate Bars, Cheese Pizzas, and Ice Cream. And every piece of food I look at, regardless of the nutritional value, I have this overwhelming desire to eat it!

I know that I have a goal to lose weight and become a healthier person, but my alter ego steps in and just wants to eat everything in sight. The worst part, I don’t know why I’m being so ravenous about food now, whereas before, I couldn’t care less! 

I’ve been walking 30 to 45 minutes every morning for about a week… and doing piloxing too. Maybe I’m working my body and this urge is my body’s way of getting food. I think now I need to learn to eat better foods, and not the sugars and other BAD foods in front of me.

I did pretty well for lunch today; I ate my Green Salad I made the other day with some Whole Wheat Bread.  I had a late start to drinking my Carrot, Beet, Celery and Apple Juice and after I did so, I snacked on Organic Flax Maple Pecan Crunch.

Then for dinner, Mike and I went to Carraba’s Italian Restaurant where I had a Mediterranean Salad with Oil and Vinegar and Riggotti Martino with Tomato Red Sauce. Plus I had a glass and a half of White Wine. 

Now I’m drinking my second Carrot, Celery, Beet and Apple Juice….
