I’ve decided to walk around the neighborhood when I don’t take a Pilates class… a keep doing the weights 3-4 times a week along with everything.  And I plan to do the best I can with my eating with this schedule, because it’s crunch time. June 2nd is just around the corner and I still have a good 30lbs to go.

I had a couple of gardening things to do in front of the house and while I did that, Mike cleaned out the cars. And of course, while I was on my walk, Mike made a Meat dish for his lunch. I suggested we sit outside again on the patio, and started setting the table for lunch. I decided to have my Fresh Vegetable Salad from Thursday Night and the Grilled Potatoes & Onions from Friday for lunch.

I did have a couple of servings of the Grilled Potatoes & Onions… simply because it was so good and I had a walk earlier.:(

Since then, I’ve been munching on some Nectarines and my Trail Mix of Almonds, Raisins, and Dried Cranberries.

This morning I can say, Mike and I went for a walk around the neighborhood together. It’s something we haven’t done in a while, and it’s something Mike did on his brand new bike. He’s like a kid in a candy shop after buying his used trail bike. 

Since I haven’t been able to get a Pilates schedule, I’ve decided to walk around the neighborhood for my exercise. This weekend I got back into the groove!!

After my walk, got home to take a shower and hit the road to Orlando. Mike wanted to get to his favorite restaurant, Bahama Breeze for his Chicken Kabobs and St. Thomas Crab Claws.

 I have to admit, I did have 3 of those Crab Claws before my Breeze Salad and Cheese less Veggie Quesadillas arrived. I was proud of myself, usually I get my Bahama Rita drink and this time I ordered Water with a Lemon.

Then we battled the rain to head over to Whole Foods where I got some Dried Cranberries, Raisins and some new TPV. Mike wanted to return the Honey I picked up a while back because it started crystallizing (not a good sign).

After engaging the navigation system, we found a Costco down in Orlando and picked up some more Agave and some other goods and headed home in the rain. By the time we got home, the rain had stopped and we were able to get all the groceries out without getting soaked.!!!

Dinner was a mix of my Fresh Vegetable Salad, which I packed full of the leftover Kidney Beans and left over Chick Peas from the other day. Mike made his Potato Medley Grill.

After dinner we did the usual 60 Minutes and then Desperate Housewives. But afterwards, ABC aired something a little different. A show with Jamie Oliver called “Food Revolution”, where he goes to Huntington, W.V. and tries to reteach the way these people eat. Huntington was rated the city with the most obese people and city with horrible eating habits in the U.S. Very interested how the schools, families and community are killing themselves with all the fried, processed foods they’re eating.

We decide to leave Saturday for a weekend getaway to the Keys.. not realizing it was the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day. But Key West wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be.

Regardless, we made our way south on I-95. Me sleeping for the first leg of the trip until we stopped in Palm Bay for lunch at Wendy’s. I had the Southwest Salad without the Chili or Cheese(I had to pick the cheese off myself!)

Then it was back to the roadtrip south. I made sure to pack some trailmix, which I made myself because I knew I would get the munchies. So I mixed up some Dried Cranberries, Raisins, Almonds and Pecans to munch on the drive to Key West.

While we were driving, we reserved a hotel room at the Marriott Courtyard. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but it was nice anyway! We got settled and freshened up and left for downtown Key West for some dinner. We found a place on Duval Street called the Borttegga, which was on the quiet end of Duval. I had a Glass of White Wine and a Green Salad. I really enjoy eating salads these days… and they’re quite fullfilling.!!! After dinner, we decided to walk around Duval Street and I found an Ice Cream place. Jokingly, I dragged Mike into to pressure him into buying something and it turns out, I was the one getting pressured. He didn’t even budge. So I was the one walking around with Two Scoops of Ice Cream.
