This morning I was so excited because I actually had a chance to go to Pilates at 7am. Before hand, I made it a point to wake up early and make another Fruit Smoothie. I did so, because  I actually promised Mikes son I would make him Fruit Smoothies for breakfast every morning before school, and today it started!!!!

The bonus in this cenario, I had enough left over for a glass for myself. So, for Breakfast I drank my 1tsp Barley Max Powder with 3-8oz glass Distilled Water and went off to my Pilates class, Fruit Smoothie in tow.

Ingredients:

Handful of Grapes

1/4Banana

1/4Apple

1Cup Pineapple

1Cup Watermelon

1tsp Lime Juice

2Tbls Agave Nectar

2Cups Ice

Directions: Add all ingredients in order into Vita Mix. Turn power on and move speed slowly to 10 and switch to variable II and blend until your desired consistancy. 

That was a nice cool drink after my Pilates Workout!!!!

Now I’m enjoying my Mid Morning 8oz Juice of Carrot, Celery, Cucumber Juice.

In between my Juice and Smoothie, I’ve been snacking on these Garden Herb Triscuits.

I didn’t get to go to Pilates this morning, because Mike needed the car for business. So instead, I got ready and weighed myself and I registered at 162lbs.

I think that was good, for all the deviations I took from the eating plan. I was actually expecting to be heavier… but I will take 162lbs. So over all, I lost 10lbs in the 14 days of eating the foods prescribed in the Hallelujah Acres 14 Day Menu Plan.

Already this morning I did have my Breakfast of 1Tsp Barley Max Powder with 4-8oz glass of distilled water.

Mid Morning 8oz Carrot, Celery, Cucumber Juice

Lunch is still open for discussion. It turns out, we went to Olive Garden for lunch and I ordered the Soup & Salad. For the Soup I had the Minestrone. But I indulged so much on the salad, I was fool and couldn’t even get to the soup. So I brought that home.

We didn’t get home until late, so I wasn’t able to do my Mid Afternoon Juice nor the 1Tsp of Barley Max Powder with 4-8oz glass of Distilled Water.

I actually forgot to do that before we left again(I was so tired and hungry I didn’t want to make anything.!) for dinner. We stopped off at the Chicken Out place up the street at the Potomac Village where I had a Vegetable Salad Wrap. It was a solid Raw meal, except for the dressing they used. It was a Creamy Honey Mustard. I didn’t even know you were given a dressing or for that matter I wasn’t even asked what kind I wanted..!!! Sooooooo. Anyway!

 Then Mike also ordered a Baked Sweet Potato and a Regular Baked Potato and I had some of each too. After we came home I did make the Barley Max and drank it after dinner. But before the Fruit Smoothie I made.

Fruit Smoothie:

Ingredients:

Handfull of Grapes

1/4 Apple

1Cup of Watermelon

1/4 Banana

1Tsp Lime Juice

Directions: Add ingredients in order, Turn Vita Mix on and move speed to 10 and then switch variable to II until you get the desired consistancy.

This morning we woke up to the Shuttle launch from down the Kennedy Space Center  2 hours south of us. By the time I got the camera and took the picture, the shuttle was already out of the earths atmosphere. All I got was the light in the sky and the smoke from the burners  lit up by the sunrise.

Snacking started early today.. I had my Almond, Raisins, and Cranberry Trail Mix and I had a Banana too.

Lunch and Dinner was just a bunch of leftovers..

Like some Whole Wheat Flat Bread, Hummus, and Kabob Vegetable leftovers. I did by some Sun Chips at the Grocery store this morning… One of three I bought that were the most healthy at Walmart!

Then for dinner.. I had a piece of Whole Wheat Bread and some Asha Reshteh Mike made  a couple of weeks ago.

I just made another smoothie with my VitaMix and it was so great… Now I actually have a reason to eat more fruits. I’ve been neglecting my fruit intake, but not anymore!!!!

I made something that wasn’t in the handbook/cookbook.

 Banana Orange and Plum Smoothie:

Ingredients:

1 Banana

1Orange

2Plums

1Cup Ice

Directions:

Throw all the fruits into the VitaMix and then add Ice. Turn mixer on Variable 1 and increase spead to 10 quickly and mix for 45 seconds or until you get desired consistancy.

I’ve been feeling so much better these last couple of days… I must have over done it with the day at the Space Museum Saturday… and the stretching and weights these last couple of nights. My back is killing me again.!!!!

While we were at the Space Museum Saturday, we stopped for lunch at the indoor McDonald’s and I had a Southwestern Salad w/out the Chicken. Then we went to see the IMAX Theatre presentation of Space Exploration, which was great. Afterwards, we went home and hung out.

Mike made a Persian meal with Plums and Turkey Meat. It’s more of a stew and I ate that with some White Rice. For desert… I ate some Raspberries, Blackberries, Flaxseed, Whipped Topping and Leftover Ice-Cream.

I’ve been keeping up on my Carrot Juice and found a new drink Smoothie from Bolt house Farms Strawberries and Bananas. Tried some last night!

This morning… Sunday I woke up with throbbing back pain. After I took my morning vitamins and drank the Barley Juice. Mike made me another Veggie Soup: so I had some with Whole Wheat Bread crumbs.

Cream Corn
White Beans
Barley

This soup stock however, was made with left over Turkey from last night’s meal.

As the day progresses, with me on the bed sitting on the heating pad, I’ve got my Carrot Juice, Almonds, Apple and Banana to munch on.:)
